Adoptive Families Community Group
HOW WE GOT STARTED:  In collaboration with an already existing adoption group, TAFFI - Transracial Adoptive/Foster Families of Ithaca, Adoptive Families Community Group, started in the Fall of 2013.   Historically, there has been a general adoption community group in Ithaca.  After adopting her daughter with her husband, in 2011, Nicole Dauria sought to be apart of such a community.  She discovered that a general adoption group, no longer existed.  In her search, she meet Anneliese Truame, who founded TAFFI.  Together they planned a general adoptive families gathering in August 2013.  Many families attended and expressed interested in regular gatherings and connections.  This lead Nicole to begin The Adoptive Families Community Group.
